Ms. Sherry Porter
Sherry is a seasoned executive with 30 years of experience with a myriad of organizations in Canada. She has held senior corporate roles with Sobeys Inc., Nova Scotia Power, Shoppers Drug Mart and The Caldwell Partners. She also has experience with trade associations in the grocery and retail drug area. She was the founding President & CEO of the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores, working with the CEO’s of the traditional drug chains, mass merchants and grocery operations in Canada.
Sherry currently Chairs the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation and is a Board member of Pharmasave Atlantic, the QEII Foundation, Symphony Nova Scotia Foundation and a Governor of Dalhousie University, where she serves as Vice Chair and Chair of the Human Resources committee.
Sherry has had leadership roles at the Board level for many not-for-profit organizations including: Chair of the Boards of the Pier 21 Society and the QEII Foundation. She also had active Board roles at Symphony Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Agricultural College Foundation, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the United Way and the Working Miracles campaign.
