Halifax International Airport Authority’s (HIAA) Community Outreach Program is focused, meaningful and aligned with the organization’s mission, vision and values. The program consists of funding, promotional items, charitable donations, a coin box program, display space in the terminal building, and corporate presence at community functions. In 2011, HIAA supported upwards of 300 organizations with over $200,000 as well as promotional items and display space.
HIAA’s Community Outreach Program is composed of three components, each with their own set of eligibility criteria:
Monetary Donations, Sponsorships, and Promotional Items
HIAA supports initiatives and groups that contribute to one or more of our core pillars – economic development (including transportation, travel and tourism), health, safety, and the environment. Not-for-profit organizations seeking financial donations or promotional items should contact the Community Outreach Program Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Charitable Coin Box Program
HIAA’s Coin Box Program allows registered charities to place a fundraising container in the airport’s pre-board screening area so passengers can drop off their coins after passing through the security checkpoint. Recipient organizations rotate on a monthly basis. For more information contact the Community Outreach Program Coordinator at email@example.com.
HIAA’s Community Outreach Program has limited resources. Because of the sheer number of requests we receive for donations and sponsorships, there will be many worthwhile projects that we are unable to fund.
Requests for any of these programs should be directed to:
