Paul Baxter, MBA, ICD.D Senior Vice President, Operations & Chief Operating Officer
Paul Baxter has been with HIAA since February 2008 serving as Vice President Operations from 2008 to 2015. In 2015, he was appointed Senior Vice President Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
In his current role, Paul is responsible for all aspects of the operational readiness of Halifax Stanfield International Airport, including airfield and terminal maintenance, emergency response, as well as direct responsibility for the Information Technology and Planning & Infrastructure business units. Prior to the hiring of HIAA’s Chief Commercial Officer in late 2015, Paul was also responsible for programs related to HIAA’s Safety, Security & Environmental Affairs, and initiatives for Corporate Communications & Airport Experience, Non-Aeronautical Revenue and Customer Service departments.
Paul brings to his position over 35 years of experience in a variety of operational roles. During his career, he has held several senior operational positions, principally with food and beverage manufacturers.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
