Elite Airways Enroute to Halifax Stanfield

Elite Airways has announced it will begin three times weekly service from Halifax Stanfield to the Portland International Jetport (Maine) beginning June 30, 2017.

Elite Airways is an airline based out of Portland, providing charter and scheduled service throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, and South America. Halifax is Elite Airway’s first scheduled Canadian destination.

Support for New Transport Canada Drone Safety Measures

HIAA has provided its support for new safety measures announced today by Transport Canada regarding the operation of recreational unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), also known as drones.

“These new Transport Canada safety rules pertaining to recreational drone use are welcome,” says Joyce Carter, HIAA President & CEO. “Safety at Halifax Stanfield is our top priority, and we believe these new measures will reduce the risk to aerodrome property, aircraft, and lives”.
