Support for New Transport Canada Drone Safety Measures

HIAA has provided its support for new safety measures announced today by Transport Canada regarding the operation of recreational unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), also known as drones.

“These new Transport Canada safety rules pertaining to recreational drone use are welcome,” says Joyce Carter, HIAA President & CEO. “Safety at Halifax Stanfield is our top priority, and we believe these new measures will reduce the risk to aerodrome property, aircraft, and lives”.

Halifax Stanfield Partners with reachAbility

HIAA is pleased to once again partner with the Bluenose-Ability Film Festival (BAFF) to showcase three award winning films throughout the terminal.

The short films will play on four screens located in various spaces in the terminal building (departures, arrivals and near pre-board screening) for a three month period. Each film will play on a weekly rotation.

The new store is located at the top of the pre-board security screening area and replaces the old Tim Hortons location which was previously located near Gate 20.
