    Dominican Republic

    Punta Cana

The area known as Punta Cana is actually a string of nine pristine beach areas running from Playa Uvero Alto – about an hour’s drive north of the Punta Cana airport – to Playa Juanillo in Cap Cana, half an hour to the south. Come marvel at the blue waters on this stretch of beaches where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean.

    Mexico

    Cancun

With a great selection of hotels and restaurants to suit any budget, it’s not hard to see why Cancun is the Caribbean’s top vacation destination and one of Mexico’s main tourist draws. There’s a lot to love in Cancun with its year-round warm weather and sandy beaches.

Cancun also offers easy access to urban and tropical adventures. Try snorkelling or scuba diving at the second largest barrier reef in the world. Or, explore Mayan Ruins – a popular and awe-inspiring attraction sure to bring out the archaeologist in anyone.

    Florida, USA

    Fort Lauderdale

Landing in Fort Lauderdale, you’ll immediately understand why this beach playground is called the “Venice of America.” Hundreds of yachts and mansions line the city’s 266 km of inland waterways, snaking through the heart of the city and its outlying communities.

Fort Lauderdale has more than its share of sunshine, sandy beaches and water activities. But it also has a rich restaurant, nightlife and cultural scene. Venture outside and launch your adventures on land or on water. You can glide along in an Everglades airboat and search for alligators or learn a new sport. Try a surfing or paddleboard lesson, or head to the links for a round of golf. Watch out for the water hazards though – courses here are known to include alligators!

Flights from Halifax. 1x Weekly from Jan. 23 to April 30, 2016.

    Orlando

Where else in the world can you get splashed by a killer whale, soar on a broomstick with Harry Potter and get a hug from Mickey Mouse? Central Florida is one of the world’s top tourist destinations, thanks in part to a visionary named Walt Disney.

Thrill-seekers can ride roller coasters, get friendly with gators or get behind the wheel of a Richard Petty race car. While Orlando is considered an ideal family destination, singles and couples will love the more than 90 attractions as well!

Flights from Halifax. 4x Weekly from Jan 22 to May 8, 2016.

    Tampa

Think of Florida’s Tampa Bay area, which includes the cities of Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater, as a crescent moon-shaped stretch of land connected by a web of coastal bridges. Serene shorelines and rustic fishermen’s shacks and restaurants coexist alongside slick art museums and funky boutiques. From sandy beaches to swanky bistros, it’s all here within a short drive. Some of the beaches, like Shell Key State Park and Caladesi Island State Park, require a boat to access and can provide complete seclusion.

Flights from Halifax. 2x Weekly from Jan. 23 to April 30, 2016.
